Granite:
1: What is Granite?
A: Granite is a natural rock, formed many millions of years ago through a process of solidification.
2: What are the contents of Granite?
A: It generally contains Quartz, feltspur and mica.
3: How Rigid is the colour and structure?
A: The colour and structure will always vary slightly from any samples provided as it is a unique natural material . We advise to always reserve material with ourselves if you are intending to add tables or back splashes, by ordering at the same time as the worktop, to prevent differences in colour and structure.
4: How hard is Granite?
A: Most of the used material contains quartz, this means it is not possible to scratch it with normal use. For instance, you cannot scratch it with a knife.
5: How durable is Granite when in use in the kitchen?
A: It is scratch resistant and it is very heat resistant, although it is not advised to place a hot pan directly on to the worktop. This could create a thermo-shock which could result in a hair line crack appearing. We advise to always use a pan-rack.
6: What finishes is Granite available in?
A: Polished, Honed and Flamed.
7: What advantages has Granite to other surfaces?
A: It is always unique, exclusive, scratch resistant, durable and very beautiful.

1: What is Globalstone?
A: it is an industrially man made worktop material
2: What are the contents of Globalstone?
A: It generally contains Quartz, resins and colouring agents
3: How Rigid is the colour and structure?
A: The colour and structure will always vary slightly from any samples provided as it is a unique natural material . We advise to always reserve material with ourselves if you are intending to add tables or back splashes, by ordering at the same time as the worktop, to prevent differences in colour and structure. Every stone or slab is unique.
4: How hard is Globalstone?
A: Most of the used material contains quartz, this means it is not possible to scratch it with normal use.

1: What does natural stone cost?
A: It is not easy to tell what natural stone costs. There are thousands of natural stones. The price will be determined by how difficult it is to quarry, labour costs in the country where it comes from, transport costs (infrastructure) and the demand on the market. In general there will be a range of granite to suit every budget.
2: What are the cheapest or most expensive natural stones?
A: The availability of the stone and the demand are the influence on the price. The difference between the cheapest and most expensive stones can however be over ten times as much. Some of the cheapest are Bianco Sardo, Rose Beta, Rosino, some of the most expensive are Blue Bahia and Azul Macauba
3: What determines the price for a worktop or vanity top?

Maintenance
1: How do I treat Granite?
A: Normal cleaning with soap and water in combination with our maintenance kit.
2: How do I treat Globalstone?
A: Normal cleaning with soap and water in combination with our maintenance kit.
3: How do keep my worktop as beautiful as when I received it?
3a: Clean it on a regular bases.
3b: Use a pan-rack.
3c: Use only soft cleaners.
3d: Do not use abrasive cleaners. (CIF, sandpaper, etc.)
3e: Use a cutting board.
3f: Do not sit or stand on the worktop.
3g: Watch out for hot oils or grease.

A: Access for the templater and fitters, existing worktop preferably removed, your presence on-site.
5: Can I buy a maintenance service kit?
A: Yes, we can arrange this for you.
